¹⁸ storks, any kind of heron, the hoopoes, or bats [^Cthe exact identification of many of these birds is disputed, but they all eat prey or dead matter and/or live in desolate places].

¹⁹ All insects with wings are unclean [^Cin a ritual sense] for you; do not eat them. ²⁰ Other things with wings are clean, and you may eat them.
